Timber House, Ardfern
Structural timber design for a new domestic property in Ardfern. The structure features a clear vault up to the roof above the living area and a 'column-less' corner with windows and sliding doors on the corners. Full support of the design is provided right through the building control process.
Barn Conversion
Design of a new internal timber structure as part of the conversion of an old stone barn into a residential building on behalf of Kilchoan Estate. The new structure supports the existing roof via new roof trusses and had to be designed to fit into the building (including through narrow doors) whilst not interfering with existing features such as windows and fire places
Masonry Arch Bridge
Design of a pure masonry arch bridge for a private client to be built entirely of locally sourced stone using traditional methods. Our research shows that there has not been a bridge built in the UK in this way for at least 100 years.
Culvert Replacement, Glen Lyon
Design, project planning and contract support on behalf of Perth and Kinross Council, working with Retrobridge to replace a failed culvert on a single track road serving the community of Glen Lyon, in Perthshire.
